I tried to d/l the latest version ending 8.0 but the link on the page is not 'live'. If I download the free version is it likely to work or will it expire, given that I have the paid version - ending 6.0. However now the video does download but I can't play it in RealPlayer SP, all there is is a screen of black even though it says the video is playing. This problem occurs to .flv files and to all the videos downloaded in that format, regardless if I had played it before without any problems. None of the answers were in fact answers or did not apply to the situation. I have deleated the real player. It appears that the download offer was a temporary download to the real player library which exists independantly from the real player otherwise it would not be necessary to specifically instruct the system to uninstall the library as well. Dec 03, 2011 · I have put up with realplayer downloader not working for months now, and I am looking for some sort of fix. It doesn't work in any browser I've found, and it used to be a gem of an application. It had worked for me in Mac OS X 10.6.8, and then all of a sudden, it didn't work any more.
My real player doesn't work after I installed the updates. I cannot play any of the real player videos. I manually uninstalled real player (the update folder cannot be removed) and reinstalled it, but the problem still remains. I used Microsoft Security Essentials to scan my computer.. it doesn't seem to help. Both are available from their respective websites under the section of previous versions available for download. With those two slightly older versions, RealDownloader works fine in Firefox on my Windows 10 Build 10130. RealDownloader does NOT work, however, in Internet Explorer, and forget about Project Spartan/Microsoft Edge. I can't download anything from Realplayer due to the fact that the Adobe Player has taken over and won't let me use my Real Player downloader for videos.
